More Flowers

About a week ago, i was caught in the middle of the most hectic weekends of my summer. This would be having my Aunt, Uncle, and 3 cousins down from SF bay area... And then on top of that, getting ready for my brothers girlfriend Lauren to move in (while their dog and kitten ran around the house). I was pretty swamped, so i never got a chance to take any breaks to update you! I did have one break in between all of the madness. I have the evidence to prove it!

This here is my latest creation! A sea urchin vase! Of course the sea urchin is dead (which is the only way that i could have possibly created this). This specific sea urchin was found on La Jollas ocean floors as is. So my brother picked up it gave it a new home, which for a year was his unoccupied room. He was cleaning everything out of his room, and i saw it there and thought... what a wonderful little vase that would make for a single flower.... a couple of japanese fabric stickers later and VUOALA! It was finished! The idea that something dead is giving life to something still alive amuses me.

Soon after i was finished with the sea urchin vase, and picking a few roses from my rose tree, there was a knock at the door and when my brother opened it... there stood a fetching young man with platinum hair. I couldn't help to see what this certain individual was doing here.
To my surprise he pulled out from behind him.... these...

Inspiring the 9-5

Sunday the 12th, i was fortunate to see The Mattson Two and Ray Barbee play live at a wine and culinary center in San Diego. It was my first time seeing them and I was blown away. Aside from John and Jareds amazing ability to play Jazz so well that they serenade every woman in the room, their current addition, pro skater Ray Barbee was phenomenal. As I watched him rocking and walking back and fourth, ripping jazzy guitar solos, and shining the most stoked faces the entire time, although im not sure anyone would approve that i compared.... Ray Barbee is the Jimi Hendrix of Jazz.

This was given to me as chicken scratch but what this chicken scratch contained was how The Mattson Two made this certain person I was with feel. After years of trying to put the feelings he got into words when he listened to their music, he came up with this...

"Watching any other band makes me feel like 9-5 is perfectly fine"
